Vinyl Acetate Monomer

The Noblyst^® EJK 3017 catalyst from Evonik is designed for the selective oxidation of acetic acid and ethylene to vinyl acetate. More than 78 % of total vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) production worldwide is based on vapor-phase ethylene process. Selective oxidation catalysts help achieve high yield of VAM while minimizing the formation byproduct such as CO₂. Noblyst^® EJK 3017, which contains Pd and Au supported on silica and promoted with potassium acetate, delivers high yield, excellent selectivity, and long lifetime.
